Director of Sales & Marketing
Debbie has been the Director of Sales and Marketing at The Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina since 2005 and has more than 20 years of experience in hotel management. She spent the first 6 years of her career gaining experience in various positions from Front Desk Supervisor to Assistant Housekeeping Director, prior to her roll in sales and marketing. Her experience in the industry includes The Newport Hotel Group, The Embassy Suites in Deerfield Beach, FL, The Marriott Copley Place in Boston, MA and The Providence Biltmore Hotel. She is an active member of the Newport, Providence, Boston, and Northern RI Chambers of Commerce, Rhode Island Hospitality and Tourism Association, MPI New England, Boston Women’s Network, Discover Newport and Leading Women, and she currently serves as a Board Member for Newport County Chamber of Commerce. From 2002 – 2010 Debbie was a mentor for Big Sisters of Rhode Island and has served on several fundraising committees such as All That Jazz, Halloween Bowling Bash and Clear Your Clutter. In her free time, Debbie enjoys traveling with her family, and relaxing on one of the many fine beaches in Rhode Island.

Greg joined The Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina in 2011 bringing over 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining the team here at The Newport, Greg worked in various management positions with companies such as Universal Orlando Resort and Lafrance Hospitality. A native of Fall River, Massachusetts, Greg is active on the board of directors for the Saint Anne’s Neighborhood Association in his hometown, and stays active through many volunteering efforts, and spending time with his adorable son, Simon. A proud graduate of the University of Central Florida, Greg uses his degree in hospitality management to exceed his client’s expectations, and have a little fun along the way.

Robin has been a member of Shaner Hotel Group since August 2012 and brings over 10 years of event planning and hospitality experience to The Newport. Prior to joining the team, Robin worked for one of Boston’s top 10 law firms in various capacities, including event planning. In 2009, she switched gears and became part of the opening team at Rosewood Tucker’s Point working as a sales and marketing manager both remotely from her home in Narragansett, Rhode Island, and on property in Bermuda. Although Robin is a native Bostonian and loves her hometown of Medford, Massachusetts dearly, Newport has always held a special place in Robin’s heart since graduating from Salve Regina University. It was during her college years that she first fell in love with Newport’s spectacular coastal scenery, epic history and unparalleled charm which she is thrilled to share with her clients today. Robin is a member of Leading Women and currently serves as a committee member on Newport Chamber’s Emerging Leaders. She enjoys spending her free time with her college sweetheart and husband, Buddy, at the beach, going to concerts and traveling as well as running, paddle-boarding and bowling with family and friends!

Sue joined the team at The Newport in 2009 bringing over 20 years of sales experience, 7 of which was spent in Newport. Prior to joining the team, Sue worked for various hotels in the Providence, Rhode Island area. Known throughout the industry as “the queen of catering,” Sue works with all groups coming into the hotel for meetings as the point person for all catering details, in addition to organizing all wedding blocks. Sue is also involved with the Rhode Island Wedding Group. A native Rhode Islander, she enjoys spending her free time relaxing on the beach, especially on the island of St. Maarten.

Jenny joined The Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina in November of 2012 as Sales Coordinator. In addition to assisting the Director of Sales and Marketing, she also supports three Sales Managers. Most recently in 2013, Jenny was awarded Hotel Employee of the Year from the Rhode Island Hospitality Association. She has a wide-ranging background in the hospitality industry, previously working for Crowne Plaza in Warwick, RI. Jenny and her husband, Lee have two beautiful daughters, Ally and Nikki. In her spare time, Jenny enjoys spending time with her family and vacationing in New Hampshire.
